I've been doing this painting stuff for about 2 months now, and I've done my bone baddies a quick, simple and I must say, nice looking way.

1. First thing is to put your bad boys together. I glue them to their base to rank up, but hey, it's up to you.
2. now, I don't base coat, which makes all the difference in how I paint them.
3. Cover them in black ink, make sure to get the head mostly, but don't worry if you miss any of the grooves. Just do a quick once over.
4. Now, cover them in brown ink. Make sure to get any points or grooves you didn't get with your black ink. Here's why. The brown ink will look like dirt in the recesses of the bones, this gives it a real nice 'Up from the grave' type feel.
5. Now, I drybrush with bleached bone. Don't worry if you miss spots, the color of the plastic is pretty close to a bone color, it just looks dirty
and ragged, so don't sweat too much if you missed a spot. If you want more detail, drybrush some skull white on your bones, makes 'em look creepier.
6. Now that your skeletons are done, I use dwarf bronze on armour and helmets and hilts of swords, then I cover them in black ink to dirty them up a bit.
7. Shields are your own thing, but I like a dark blue background on the shield for kicks.
